Ms. Susan Resek works with individuals in psychotherapy to help them address issues that have been difficult to manage or resolve on their own. Sometimes these issues are caused by overwhelming life events; at other times, they arise during efforts to make a transition. Often individuals are interested in psychotherapy because they are discouraged by long-standing patterns in their relationships, work/career, or family. Ms. Resek works with individuals in psychotherapy to help them with both immediate concerns and longer-term issues.
Ms. Susan Resek works with individuals in psychoanalysis, a more intensive form of psychotherapy, to address current issues that are causing distress as well as underlying issues that are contributing to patterns that have been difficult to change.
Ms. Susan Resek has over 20 years of experience working with couples in therapy. She helps each member of the relationship feel confident that their concerns will be heard and that the sessions are productive. As the therapy proceeds, couples often find themselves back on track and equipped with a greater understanding of themselves and their relationship.
Ms. Susan Resek works with adults and young adults in family therapy to facilitate conversations about difficult topics in a way that helps each member of the family feel heard and understood. She helps explore the current issues and ones that are rooted in the history of the family, and creates a setting that is empathic to individual experiences while promoting personal responsibility.
